Are you staying in our hotel? That is always handy to know, it would be great if you mention this in the online process.

We also like to know beforehand if you'd fancy eating outside (weather permitting). Moving your table to outside on the day, is not always possible anymore.   

Will you please consider your arrival time well? That will enable us to prepare ourselves in these challenging times. Thank you! 

When you book dinner at 6pm, we'll make sure you will be out in time to experience the Last Post.

Don't worry of your preferred arrival time no longer shows up, you can simply select the next slot. If you arrive early, there's always the bar where you can have a drink whilst you wait for your table.

  • Your credit card as a guarantee

    When you make a hotel reservation, we will ask you for a credit card as guarantee. These details are cared for with respect for your privacy and are kept in safety. We only use them as a guarantee in case of late cancellation or caused damage that hasn't been discussed. We alaways ask to settle your bill upon departure, but you don't have to use the same card to do so.  

    Only in case of certain tarriffs like "early bird" or "last minute", is is possible that we will charge your card with the total amount of the reservation, but that is always very clearly mentioned in the booking process. The amount that we then use your card for, is the total of your stay and the city tax of € 1,40 per night. Other extra's during your stay like bar or restaurant, need to be settled upon departure at the reception desk.

    We accept the following methods of payment in our hotel: 

    Cash, debit card, Mastercard, Visa, American Expres, Payconiq, Ieper voucher, Vlaanderen Vakantieland Voucher. 

  • Cancelation policy

    Our best available rate can be cancelled completely free of charge up to 2 days prior to arrival. But if you need to cancel closer to your arrival date, don't hesitate to get in touch. We will do our upmost for you! For direct bookings cancellations can be done by e-mail or by phone, we will then give you a cancellation number and / or cancellation reservation. If you have booked our hotel through another bookingwebsite, you will need to get in contact with the same company to cancel your booking. 

    If you have chosen for a promo rate with advance purchase conditions, you can not cancel free of charge. If you have questions about this, you can get in contact with us. 

  • Checking in

    Your room will be ready by 3pm. If you arrive earlier, you are more than welcome to use our parking, bar and restaurant. 

    It is possible to arrange an early check-in. We do, however, charge a supplement of 25 euro per room for this service. If you just intend to arrive earlier in order to spend more time exploring Ypres, you can leave your car on our car park for no extra charge. Just pop into reception when you arrive to let us know you're here and to give us your car registration number. 

  • Checking out

    You can check out upto 11am. If that is bit to early for you, we can provide (upon availabilty) a late checkout (untill 3pm) at an additional cost of € 25.

  • Late arrival in the evening

    Once you have made your reservation, your hotel room is guaranteed for you, no matter how late you plan to arrive. Our reception team works untill 11pm and then hands over to one of our night team. So there is always someone around to let you in and check you into your room. Our main entrance has a revolving door and this is locked at 11pm. The doro to the left of it has an intercom bell, just press on this and our night manager will be right with you! 

  • Parking

    Our hotel has its own private and secure car park. This is free for all our guests to use during their stay. Whilst it isn't possible to reserver a space, there is usually enough room for everybody. It can be a bit busier around lunch time, but we are lucky enough to also have free -and safe- on-street parking directly in front of the hotel and on the Minneplein just around the corner at the end of the garden. 

     

    Don't worry to drive close enough to the barrier, and it will open automaticly. To reach our parking, you can tell your GPS this adress: Slachthuisstraat 58, Ieper. 

    You can leave the parking at the rear, which is clearly indicated on site. 

  • Bicycle storage

    We've got you covered! We have a lock-up garage on our car park which you are most welcome to use. We also have a special, enclosed bike shleter with electricty points, where it's possible to charge electric bikes overnight. This is a free service, the keys to both the garage and the lock-up shelter are held at the hotel reception. 

  • Motorbikes

    You can park your motorbike on the parking, we have some smaller parking spaces just right for your bike, but if you prefer to put it inside, that can be done safely in our garage. 

  • Charging point electric cars

    At the present time, we don't have a charging point for electric cars - this is something we are planning to unstall - but for the time being, there is 2 stations on Minneplein, which is just around the corner of our hotel. They are Type 2 plugs Semi speeded up / 11KW / AC - 3 fased. The adress is Minneplein 9-11.

  • Luggage room

    Before and after you stay, you can use our locked luggage room. Ask for it at reception. 

  • With Eurostar to Ypres

    If you travel by Eurostar to Ypres, you have a choice to get off at Lille or Brussels. Lille is closer to Ypres than Brussels. 

    From Lille Europe station, you will need to take a short, 5 minute walk to Lille Flanders Station. Here you can buy a ticket to Courtrai / Kortrijk. At Courtrai / Kortrijk, you will have to change trains to catch the one which brings you to Ypres/Ieper. Our hotel is a 15 minute walk from Ypres train station. If you let us know beforehand at what time your train gets in to Ypres, we can arrange for a taxi to meet you and bring you to the hotel. If there is a possibility for us to pick you up, this will be done as a guest service. 

    Similarly, if you decide that you would like a taxi to come to Lille to meet you off the Eurostar, just let us know in advance and we can assist in organising this. The ride will cost you about € 75

  • First World War battlefield Tours

    If you are intrested in doing a tour of the First World War battlefields during your stay, we can recommend some excellent tour guides who operate in Ieper. Just drop us an email and we will be happy to send you some information and assist you if necessary organising a tour. 

  • Pets

    As much as we love them, we decided some years ago not to allow dogs into the hotel, the restaurant or the garden. 

  • Special dietary needs

    Our team of chefs is very experienced and creative and will ensure that your dietary needs are well catered for during your stay. Please let us know when you make your reservation, if there are certain food intolerances we need to be aware of. 

  • Last Post and dinner reservations

    Our restaurant opens for dinner at 6pm and takes orders through until 8.45pm from Monday till Saturday. The Last Post ceremony takes place at 8pm each evening and we recommend that you arrive at the Menin Gate no later than 7.30pm to ensure you get a good view! So it is possible to make a reservation at 6pm to have dinner before setting off for the Gate, which is about a 15 minute walk. Alternatively, you might prefer to make a reservation for 8.30pm, giving you enough time to walk back to the hotel following the ceremony. Then you can dine at your leisure without having to keep an eye on the time! 

    If you decide to dine before, we would advise to tell your waiter about your plans to attend the Last Post. At the hotel we are used to serving swiftly for our early dining guests, but another restaurant, might need a hint.  

  • Exchange currency

    Unfortunately we don't operate a currency exchange and there are no Exchange Bureaus in Ypres. It is possible to withdraw cash from ATM machines in the town centre, using your credit or debit card. 

  • Group rates

    It is a good idea to get in contact with us if you are planning to visit Ieper in group. We will offer you adjusted rates and a different cancelation policy.

  • Bicycle rent

    Ariane hotel doesn't offer bike rental.  We can help you to book them in 1 of the many bike-rent shops in Ieper,  it is a wise to pre-book this service. 

  • Extra bed in the room

    In our Prestige family rooms, we either have a sofa bed ready for you, or we add rollaway beds, up to a maximum of 4 people per room. A baby bed can always be added, but needs to be pre-booked if you want to use one of ours. Our family rooms are perfect to use with the whole family, and the bathroom also is so spacious that your whole family will fit in together.   

  • Best way to book

    Direct booking with our hotel (online, by phone or by mail) will always be rewarded, and that's a promise! 

    You can be abslolutely sure that you have received the best rate! Sometimes upto € 20 less comparing to other reservation websites like Booking.com and Expedia. We also offer our direct bookers the most flexible cancelation conditions, and you can take that quite literally! On top of that, direct bookers can purchase the entrance tickets for both In Flanders Flierd Museum and Yper Museum (- €2). And last but not least we promise you lowest-rate-guarantee. If we, for any reason at all, need to drop our rates, then we will automaticly lower yours as well. 

    So please don't have any doubts, and book direct. 

  • Guest rooms for disabled

    At the moment, we do not have disabled rooms, but we do have rooms that are accesible by wheel chair, with a walk-in shower. We can also provide tools to help use in the bathroom.

    There is a lift to all floors, but we also have 4 guest rooms with walk in shower on the ground floor. 

     

  • Wheel chair accesibility

    Our hotel is completely wheelchair accessible, all the way to the garden. In the sanitairy block, we also have an adjust disabled toilet. 

  • Booking without a credit card

    If you don't have a credit card, you can ring or e-mail us. We will then help you with your booking, and if possible ask you for a deposit to guarantee your reservation. 

     

  • Housekeeping attendance

    Our housekeeping team works every day from 10am till 4.30pm. Let us know if you'd like your room to be cleaned at a specific time, so that we can arrange this for you. 

     

  • Why do room rates vary?

    Our room rates are depending on a lot of factors, like the season, but also the occupancy en sometimes events in the area. If you can be flexible with your travel dates, it is always a good idea to compare different dates. Or to get in contact with us, we can tell you when the best rates are available. 

  • Room preference

    Let us know if you have a soft spot for certain room, we will always do our very best to make it happen, if it's possible! 

     

  • Children's high chairs

    In the restaurant we have a limited amount of children's high chairs. We do like it if we can keep them available for our hotel guests, who don't always have the possibility to bring them along on the travelling. So if you're local, we like it if you bring your own high chair when you're planning to visit the restaurant.

  • Halal

    At the moment we do not cook halal. 

     

  • Vegatarian and vegan

    You'll always find a fresh selection of vegetarian dishes on our menu. Upon request we also offer vegan dishes. 

     

  • Children's meals

    For children up to 12 years old, we have an adjusted children's menu. 

     

  • Is there a play area?

    In our garden there is a simple glide for children. 

     

  • Round table

    In our restaurant we have a couple of round tables, for groups of 5 and more. If you'd like this, please let us know. If they are available, and it is possible in the area where you'll be dining, we'll arrange this for you. 

     

  • Sugar free dessert

    There is always cheese dessert on our dessert menu, and also the fresh fruit salad contains no added sugars. 

     

  • small suprise for the birthday boy or girl

    Celebrating a birthday? If you let us know, we will give a small surprice. Would you like us to put fireworks on the dessert? That's possible! But let us know, because not everybody enjoys that. If you don't ask us, we won't do it. Deal? 

     

  • Can my toddler sleep in a room whilst we use the restaruant?

    If you are a guest in our hotel, then that is off course no problem. But we also get this question regularly from guests using the restaruant. It is off course no problem if we have rooms available. If we don't, then we will look otgether for another solution. For the baby bed, we have the same logic as the children's high chairs in the restaurant. We'd rather kepe the ons we have on the premises, for our travelling guests. So if you're local, kindly bring your own baby bed.

  • the tAble

    Lots of people are curious about the concept of the tAble. Naturaaly, because this ultimate experience dinner is unique! Nowhere else have you ever seen or experienced something like it. Read through the tAble pages on tour website, then you'll already have a feel what it's all about. 

     

  • Menu's in different languages

    Yes, of course! We always translate our menu's to English, French and German. 

    Easy if you're dining with bussiness relations.  

     

  • Wheelchair available?

    Yes, that's possible! We have a wheel chair available for our gusts. Ask for it at reception. 

  • We are more than 10 people, can we still eat à la carte?

    That's possible! And we will not limit you in the amount of dishes that you're allowed to choose, but please consider that the waiting time might be a bit longer than normal. It will off course help your waiting time if you do consider the amount of different dishes on your table. If you are more than 10, there is also the possibility to make use of our special banquet menu's. The idea is that if you choose from these, you pick one menu for the whoel group. Off course we do cook something else for vegetarians and vegans.
